What mask should I pack for my WDW Vacation?

I never thought I would be packing masks for my entire family as we prepare for a trip down to Walt Disney World. I also never thought my kiddos would do as well in their masks as they did, but that’s a story for another blog post ;) We did the thing, and spent an entire week at Walt Disney World in July while wearing masks. This post will be short and sweet. I want to share my favorite masks with you for everyone, adults and kiddos!

Let’s start with my mask. As I tested out the variety of masks I traveled with it became very clear very quickly that one was outshining the others! HANDS DOWN the best mask I wore at Disney was this cute one from Pixie Lee & Co. This mask is very light weight, uber breathable, and never once bothered my ears. Shelby has a ton of fun designs + seasonal ones coming soon! If you shop with her remember to use my code Ashton10 to save!

Now onto my most frequently asked question - toddler masks. This was a challenge y’all. Trying to find masks that appropriately fit a 4 and 2 year old but are also comfortable for them in the heat. We tested quite a few during our week at Disney. Here are our favorites.

The Dumbo masks ranked at #1 for the kids. They were light weight and they seemed to fit both of their faces great! Never slipped down and never bothered their ears. It doesn’t hurt that Dumbo is also the kids favorite ride ;) We purchased these from the Etsy shop, LovelyEarth29.

My next recommendation for kids masks are these cute ones from Paradise Kids Boutique on Etsy. These were also light weight on the kiddos and never pulled on their little ears. These are a touch bigger than the Dumbo ones. This really wasn’t a huge issue for Malie, but for Maverick we did have to slide it up every so often to cover his nose. You can’t beat the price on these though! I bought a two pack for only $20! They even had mixed sets meaning Malie’s Minnie Mouse and Maverick’s Mickey Mouse came in the same set. Being a mom of both I’m a big fan of this!

Lastly I’ll share about our experience with the Disney Parks masks. First and foremost the sizing is VERY strange. I went in thinking I would need smalls for Malie & Maverick. The nice Cast Member showed me the small and I kid you not it would fit one of Malie’s baby dolls. Both of my kids are wearing a medium in the photo above. The large worked great for me, but was too small for Patrick. Comfort wise I do think they past the test. It sat lightly on our faces and didn’t pull at my ears. For me if I was unable to wear my Pixie Lee & Co mask I would go with the Disney Parks one next over the others I brought. You can shop the DIsney Parks mask here. And as I linked the masks for you guys I noticed new sizing available, so Disney is working to fix their sizing issue on these!

These are what worked best for our family, and I hope they can work for yours as well. Be sure to read over Walt Disney World’s mask policy before starting your vacation.

XOXO & Pixie Dust,

Ashton
