Mickey Spider Web Cinnamon Roll

Back in June we learned that our very favorite - Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party would be cancelled for 2020. Instead of being super bummed out (we are still a little bummed out) myself and a few friends are choosing to bring the magic of MNSSHP into our homes this season! Over the next few months we will be sharing everything from treats to drinks to crafts that you can enjoy with your family right in the comfort of your home.

First up we are sharing some of our favorite Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party treats!

Esther @amagicalkingdomcalledhome created a wicked Poison Apple.

Tina @a.magical.life.for.me created a delicious chocolate Mickey Waffle Sundae.

Destiny @muggleonmainstreet created a creepy Doom Buggy Cream Puff.

I went with the Mickey Spider Web cinnamon roll, because who doesn’t love a sweet treat first thing in the morning! This simple and fun recipe can be found below!

Mickey Spider Web Cream Cheese Cinnamon Rolls

Yield: 4
Author: Ashton McGill
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 10 MinTotal time: 20 Min

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of your favorite cinnamon rolls
  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3-5 tbs milk
  • Neon Orange food coloring

Instructions:

  1. Remove one cinnamon roll from your can. Unroll it to create one long piece. Cut this piece in half and roll the two new pieces into smaller rolls.
  2. Attach the two new smaller rolls to a new roll from the can to create a Mickey shape.
  3. Bake as instructed.
  4. While the cinnamon rolls are baking beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached - I used 3 tbsp. Add food coloring to create your orange icing.
  5. Pipe icing onto your freshly baked cinnamon rolls. I used a left to right, right to left motion to cover my rolls.
  6. Top with a spider web of your liking - I used a spider web ring (not edible).
